I am an asst. professor at MacEwan University, teaching in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications. I am also the chair of the faculty's EDI Committee. Along with teaching at MacEwan, I also instruct at the First Nations Technology Council, teaching Communications and Digital Marketing. I have my doctorate in Social Sciences from Royal Roads University, where I also obtained my Master of Arts in Professional Communications. My experiences include being the Executive Director of Fitness Industry Council of Canada (FIC), where I provided strategic counsel for FIC's corporate affairs and professional communications. I produced articles for various publications, managed event coordination, and executed national campaigns. I am an accomplished business communications and media relations professional with a proven track record of influencing public opinion, policy, and legislative changes across Canada.I am the recipient of IHRSA's Women Who Influence 2020 recognition as well as Edify Magazine's Top 40 Under 40, class of 2023. I am immersed in the arts as a professional dancer. My background is in Bharatanatyam, performing across the globe. I teach and choreograph various styles as an instructor for the City of Edmonton. As a teacher, I am always searching for the best way to communicate to students; as a choreographer, I endeavour to think outside the box to create fresh presentation ideas and approaches; and as a performer, I displays confidence in the work that I am passionate about.
