Ireland

Trish was the first woman elected to this post, which saw her act as the public face of the union. In addition to leading student campaigns, she also took on the union’s finance, internal communications, and external relations duties. Implemented a re-branding strategy, which was rolled out on an all-island basis, and was continually involved in drawing up and executing cross-border campaigns on issues such as access to third level education, student fees, women's rights, housing, and college funding for research and development. Built alliances with key agencies and politicians to promote better public relations for the union, and help launch awareness campaigns.
