Key Responsibilities:Delivery of the annual Community Grants Program: -Build capacity for local organisations to access funding for community based projects and initiatives - Use of Smartygrants software to prepare quality grants and funding submissions documents and assisting local community organisations with grant applications - Completing or assisting with agreement, compliance, monitoring and acquittal processes - Arranging appropriate execution of Council grants and funding documentation and complete reporting requirements. - Panel assessor for Council Town Hal Subsidy applications Volunteering and Community Projects Management: - Project manage the development and roll out of a new Council Volunteer Vacancy website in partnership with Be Collective (To be launched November 2017) - Policy development including: Volunteer Management Policy, Statement of Commitment to Volunteers & City of Port Phillip Volunteer Portal Guidelines - Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify volunteer opportunities and foster new initiatives - External stakeholder engagement for promoting and training of Councils new Volunteer Portal functionality powered by 'Be Collective' - Facilitated training sessions and networking events for volunteer capacity building - Networking with community organisations to ensure awareness of the guidance and support available from Council. - Produce 'CoPP This' - monthly e-newsletter designed specifically for staff and volunteers of local community groups - Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of mentoring and coaching programs
