I joined the Cerana (formerly Mistify) team at OmnTI to develop our in-house clustered platform for deploying containers and virtual networks on a datacenter scale.Our platform was capable of self-constructing a cluster on bare metal and running applications using a Go-based secure isolation runtime I created with enhanced BPF (eBPF) syscall filtering. I introduced container-aware delegation for OpenZFS using Linux namespaces to provide secure multi-tenant access to storage management.

On the Platform Software team at Nexenta, I worked on the operating system at the core of the NexentaStor storage appliance. I developed enhancements to fault tolerance and performance of the I/O stack, storage device drivers, and the ZFS filesystem.I maintained the legacy Debian/Solaris platform and assisted with the NexentaStor project transition to the current illumos-based platform software.Other areas of involvement include NFS and SMB file services, iSCSI, and the NDMP backup service. I also created reporting tools and processes for support staff.

Helped design and implement the scalable BitTorrent-based backend of a publishing platform for free media running on the Joyent cloud.Non-blocking I/O improvements to popular free software libraries allowed our nodes to handle thousands of clients.
