The importance of hard work and discipline were revealed to me at a young age. Thus, hard work is something I pride myself on and believe that is how goals are achieved. I have always been heavily involved in sports and education, which led me to an athletic and academic collegiate scholarship immediately out of high school. I was a division I rower at Saint Mary’s College, which taught me various skills. I served on the team’s leadership board, which strengthened my administration and leadership skills. I also learned the importance of teamwork and working with others for one common goal. Again, hard work and discipline were present during this time as I had to balance my classes, multiple difficult practices in between, and working at night. I had to be dedicated, organized, and driven to be successful in each of those aspects of my life. My discipline and hard work have also been shown through my work experiences at Nordstrom. What started off as a seasonal, part-time cashiering position led to a promotion as a full-time Sales Associate. Through hard work and relationship building, I became one of the top sellers in my department.I recently graduated from Chapman University in May of 2020, earning my bachelor’s degree in communication studies with an emphasis in leadership. At Chapman, I served as the Relations Coordinator on the leadership board for a women’s ministry, collegiate club called Delight. Soon after graduating from Chapman, I began my career as an Administrative Assistant at Accel Therapies, a pediatric behavioral therapy agency, which aligned with my goals in positively impacting my community. I was quickly promoted from Administrative Assistant to the Orange County Site Manager, then the Senior Manager of Regional Development, to now my current role as the Director of Operations. As the Director of Operations, I oversee and work with many of the company’s functional teams such as recruiting, human resources, marketing, billing, and client and staff support. While working at Accel, I also volunteer at my church in the Kidside ministry, and have a passion for relationship building. I believe all of my life experiences and growth thus far are directly correlated to the discipline, leadership, and the work ethic that I bring to the table.All of that to say, I am excited to continue learning and growing in my career!
