Hey, I'm Tristan – an Audio Engineer from Northwest Ohio. My journey began during the COVID-19 pandemic when high schools switched to virtual learning. This shift made me reconsider my educational path, leading me to enroll at Northwest State Community College during my junior year of high school. There, I delved into Cybersecurity and Network Administration. My tech journey kicked off by volunteering as the tech coordinator for the Career Services Career-Con, sparking my passion for technology and media. This led to editing the school's podcast, which propelled me into the media industry.In August 2022, I graduated from high school and launched my own company, focusing on audio production. Concurrently, I worked as a camera operator at Malanaga Enterprises (now Bryan High School) and took on a part-time role at NSCC’s student activities and career services department.I later joined the Northwest Ohio Computer Association (NWOCA) as a district technician. At NWOCA, I contributed to several key projects, such as overhauling the A/V systems at the Challenger Learning Center, enhancing the educational experience for students and visitors. My responsibilities included providing technical support and training to staff and clients, helping me develop strong communication and leadership skills.In the spring of 2024, I transitioned from NWOCA to become the Director of Broadcast Technology at Defiance Community Television. In this role, I work with a dedicated team to deliver live broadcasts of community events. My duties involve overseeing all technical aspects of the broadcast process, from equipment maintenance and setup to ensuring high-quality transmission and streaming. This position allows me to combine my passion for technology with my commitment to serving the community, making local events accessible to everyone.Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an avid musician, playing bass, electric guitar, and drums, and I enjoy producing music in my spare time. My diverse skill set includes project management, network administration, and broadcast technology, all of which I bring to my role at Defiance Community Television.Looking ahead, I envision a thriving career in audio engineering and the realization of my studio dreams. My journey continues to evolve, blending my technical expertise with my creative passions.
