CurrentAs a member of an interdisciplinary team within the acute inpatient rehabilitation setting, I help provide advanced medical acute inpatient care to patients recovering from various conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, brain tumors and resections, other forms of cancer, hypoxic and ischemic brain injury, epilepsy, encephalopathy, multiple sclerosis, other autoimmune disorders, Parkinson’s disease, other movement disorders, dementia, delirium, and other neurocognitive disorders/conditions. My responsibilities include:Performing comprehensive clinical interviews at the patients' bedside to gather essential data on their current cognitive and psychosocial functioning. Additionally, cognitive screeners and mood questionnaires are integrated as integral components of the evaluation process.Analyzing and interpreting the collected data, as well as reviewing medical records to help establish diagnostic impressions and develop case conceptualizations. This process aids in understanding the patients' current conditions more comprehensively.Generating brief and comprehensive neuropsychological reports that encompass diagnostic impressions, etiological considerations, and treatment recommendations to facilitate integrated patient care within the interdisciplinary healthcare system.Offering bedside therapy to our current patients throughout their stay in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. These include brief supportive and cognitive behavior therapy (with incorporation of mindfulness, deep breathing, visual imagery, and progressive muscle relaxation) primarily for adjustment to medical condition, anxiety, depression, insomnia, pain management, and behavioral/lifestyle changes
