During my time working at CEAVCO (now AVFX), I began in the beginner warehouse technician role, where my responsibilities started with learning the ins and outs of their AV inventory. This consisted of an entry-level to intermediate understanding of projection devices, lighting (spotlights, up-lights, the control boards required, and the audio sound systems. I was put in charge of managing the audio inventory in the warehouse and ensured the client's orders had every piece of equipment to ensure peak performance of the shows at hand. I also worked as a delivery driver, conducting the loading and unloading of an 18 foot box truck, traveling anywhere from 15 minutes to up to two hours (100 miles) while obeying all traffic laws and acting to preserve the safety of drivers around me and of the precious cargo within. On-site work consisted of assembling certain systems required at the venues, such as lighting, cables, and recording. CEAVCO enabled me the opportunity to run camera work for a few prestigious events, such as an awards ceremony for the American Business Women's Association, and a charity fundraiser for First Descents. I will take with me the skills required to navigate corporate and professional communication, alongside the diligence to learn and understand new technology/data entry software. I absolutely loved working there, as I had ample opportunity for career growth within the company due to the heavily encouraging and enthusiastic team, filled with extremely professional and intelligent coworkers and supervisors. However, due to the relocation of my family to Allen Texas, I had to leave as a result.
