Promoted to NCO in a record breaking time, responsible for the management of all airfield activity and providing support to VIP flights transiting to and from the UK. My clients ranged from royal families, VIPs, entrepreneurs, government figures, aeromedical requirements and celebrities. Managing a team of Flight Operations staff, I was responsible for flight planning, local airfield liaison, the liaison with foreign embassies, planning and negotiating routes and clearances in accordance with international flight rules, the upkeep and distribution of flight critical documentation, organising and deconflicting aircraft at flying events including open days, fetes and memorial events, coordinating helicopter support towards environmental disasters, Invoicing clients and maintaing client relationships.Managing crew hours and airframe allocation, diplomatic clearances, freight, border control, catering, parking and Aircraft handling/servicing, mitigating risk and driving a safety culture, the planning, resourcing, scheduling and monitoring of key projects, producing and working in accordance with a variety of contingency plans for all levels of operations, including crash, snow and ice, security, media and medical, Initiating and managing last minute operations, including VIP transport and life dependant Aero-Med and compassionate flights, managing the training lifecycle, reporting and documentation for new recruits.
