I had to cleverly reuse gameplay elements encountered in the environment to propose "easy" challenges to the player.- I was in charge of doing R&D for the third environment of the game. The rest of the team hasn't really began to work on it, so I had to imagine the identity of the environment as well as gameplay elements that would be used in it, taking as a basis the guidelines that wad been set by the team. Thus I had a strong creativity freedom and autonomy on it, and I had to constantly ask for feedbacks to the different teams (art/prog) regarding what could be and couldn't be done with it.- I had to create puzzles with the different gameplay elements I imagined in the R&D ohase for the third environment (or that I took from other environments), making sure that they was understandable for the player. I also tried to make the environment very unique by pushing some aspects that wasn't very present in other environments, especially the verticality.- I had to prototype the different level design elements that I had imagined for this third environment, helped by the programmers for the most difficult ones. Thus I had to clearly understand the technical part of how the different systems and tools the programmers used to integrate my code smoothly with their work and to follow thoroughly their workflow Show less
