Originally hailing from Guam, DJ 9-Volt (b. Tristan Nery) began his career in 2000 as a member of Bassline Productions in Philadelphia. In 2002, 9-Volt graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and followed his passion for public service to the Washington DC area.In DC, 9-Volt was tapped as a resident DJ at Daedalus, and has been a guest DJ at all of D.C.’s hottest spots, including 1223, Dragonfly, Lima, K-Street Lounge, Cafe Asia, Cafe Japone, Avenue, Eyebar, and Muse.He is currently a resident at Temple lounge in Arlington. Additionally, 9-Volt has spun weddings and parties all over the country, including stops in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. His smooth blends are matched only by his smooth moves on the dancefloor where he provides linedancing lessons for you and all of your guests.

Tristan Nery is a Manager for Deloitte’s Federal Technical Strategy and Architecture practice. He has been involved in a wide range of consulting assignments covering Project Management, implementation and administration of collaboration tools (specifically Microsoft SharePoint and Project Server), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, Data Center Consolidation, and System Architecture and Design. Most recently, Tristan led the development of a semantic ontological approach for the automation of health record administration and processes. He has an active Secret Clearance.
