Clayton Utz is a top-tier law firm based in Australia. I was based in the Melbourne office, primarily preparing migration matters for directions and final hearings. I collated court books and liaised with Federal Court staff to help facilitate efficient and fair hearings.

As part of a close-knit team, I advised clients on a range of corporate, intellectual property and insolvency related matters. I also assisted in the development of informative content for many of our start-up clients.

My clerkship program involved receiving high quality training in a range of legal citatory websites used by the firm and online filing systems. I drafted advice based on legal research to problems presented by lawyers, senior associates and partners in the intellectual property and workplace relations teams.

As president of the society for the end of 2015 and the majority of 2016, I had the responsibility to ensure that the society reached (and exceeded) its potential. This included working with Hero Town Geelong to help promote the Hero Round Table Conference, led by Dr Philip Zimbardo (organiser of the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment).
