Contract Design Consultant engaged in various design/research projects for a variety of clients over the past 12 years for fields including; mobile advertising, branding, children's toys, consumer electronics, wearable electronics, housewares, medical devices, and sporting goods.

In 2017, I gave myself the design brief I would have wanted as a child: to imagine the vehicles and architecture of a climate-resilient society and render them as toys. With this playful yet purposeful concept, the fictional design firm GENERAL NOTION was born.

COSM Medical addresses the needs of nearly 50% of women who will experience some degree of pelvic floor disorders such as prolapse or incontinence during their lives. Recognizing that low treatment adoption rates stem from challenges with device sizing and self-management, COSM built its business on addressing these barriers. ReSource H2O develops fully integrated commercial and residential rainwater harvesting systems. In 2013 I was engaged to help design the first commercially viable residential rainwater harvesting system. My involvement was critical in presenting their new and unfamiliar technology in a manner which consumers would identify as safe, easy to use and worthy of adoption.

Science and Sons was developed as a masthead brand to serve the miscellany of my own design musings. Several of the designs, most notably “Plastidermy” and “Phonofone II” received mainstream reception. These works continue to garnish attention in design blogs, magazines, books and curated exhibitions around the world.
