I lead a team of engineers and estimators that help deliver agriculture projects to our customers. AGI supplies equipment to help the agriculture industry meet its challenges, such as grain/feed/fertilizer storage bins, material handling equipment, sensors, and portable handling. By providing technical advice, preliminary engineering, and accurate quotes, I want to develop lasting relationships with our community.

After GJ VIS Enterprises was sold to AGI, I became the technical leader and engineering manager of the (new) division within AGI. I worked closely with sales and production to be a subject matter expert in material handling and all the other product lines that GJ VIS had developed.

I helped our commercial agriculture customers design their site layouts, and quoted/supplied/serviced the material handling equipment supplied to them. Worked with customers from beginning to end, from developing scope, determining needs, engineering a design, preparing the quote, and scheduling through the factory. Gained entry into the industry and learned everything necessary about bucket elevators, drag conveyors, belt conveyors, screw conveyors, hammermills, scales, hoppers, and gates/valves.

I helped add hydronic product designs to our product offering, by redesigning the existing lines and reducing cost and noise levels. This involved testing our designs in a state-of-the-art laboratory the company recently invested in. Designed and managed custom iterations of our active and passive Chilled Beam products, specific to customer projects.

Responsible for writing procedures for overhaul and repair of a wide range of aircraft parts to manufacturer’s specifications, using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) data and industry specifications. This allowed our repair facility to perform the repair as the OEM intended, and allow Transport Canada to provide airworthiness to the part. When necessary, write non-OEM manual repairs, and received approval from Transport Canada, allowing the company to repair parts worn beyond the manufacturer’s repair limits.Ensure the repairs being performed are what the customer wants, by verifying purchase orders with the client, and ensuring that all the necessary paperwork has been supplied.

Generated system designs, matching customer needs, for renewable energy systems, including solar photovoltaic electric panels, wind generators, and the necessary equipment such as charge controllers, batteries, and inverters. A list of components was created and priced. This was communicated to the customer for purchase, with a clear payback period.
