I am an experienced clinical leader and innovator with over two decades of experience leading transformative health technology initiatives across tech and healthcare. I am passionate about applying new technologies and data to drive population health initiatives and improve access to equitable, quality and personalized care. I am currently the Chief Medical and Science Officer at Verily where I lead the company’s research, science and population health initiatives and provide expertise across Verily’s portfolio as the company furthers its precision health strategy. Previously, I served as the Deputy Director of Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where I led the Foundation’s development and investment in digital health and artificial intelligence to address global health inequities. Prior to that, I was a founding member of Apple’s Health team, leading clinical research and machine learning with Apple partners.
