I am the lead in our application of GIS with the objective to give insight in our nature area, evaluate our nature management and support our management decisions. I build and manage geospatial models and workflows to analyse our geodata and remote sensing information and create visualisations and dashboards. I work on adoption of GIS throughout the organisation

(and in 2008-2009) At Nieuwland I was employed as a GIS consultant and worked for various clients. At the Provincie Zuid-Holland I advised on the development of a geodata-portal showcasing PZH’s information using Tableau, Sharepoint and ArcGIS and helped realise it. At LEI Wageningen UR I managed, analysed and visualised its spatial data and information. Other assignments where at Waterschap Aa en Maas, Staatsbosbeheer regio west, Provincie Noord Holland and Dienst Landelijk Gebied.

At WER (formerly LEI) I worked on a great number of research projects that required specific geospatial analysis or modelling on subjects including agriculture, nature conservation, water management and rural policy making. I was responsible for the management, quality-control and visualisation of LEI's spatial data.

At the Zuid Holland branch of IVN Netherlands, I supported the networks of volunteers and professionals in environmental education. I have led, or contributed to, a number of projects that facilitated and empowered these networks: “Water in het Veld”, “Online water-kwaliteitsmeetinstrument”, “Groene Maand”, “Digitale NME kaart”, “Digitaal NME-ZON kantoor”. “Producten-catalogus/EenIVN”

At Siceroo I developed, tested and documented databases, applications and websites within a Solaris environment and gave customers training in our central product, a thin client network solution for schools or small or medium businesses.

Paramaribo

At WWF I was responsible for the implementation and coordination of WWF-Guiana’s’ regional marine turtle conservation program in the seasons 2001 and 2002 This included providing regional coordination and technical support to the partners and consultants, management of project contracts, advising the subcontractors, stimulating regional cooperation and organising a regional symposium.

Design and development of multimedia and webapplications for university education, using a multitude of software packages, among which; flash, quicktime, webdevelopment programs, etc.

I was founder and board member of this foundation, which is mainly aimed at nature conservation, sustainable development and conservation in developing countries. As project team member I realized a number of projects in, among others, the Netherlands and Suriname, mostly regarding fauna conservation and research.
