I joined Ocwen (2/2013) Technology Services Group upon their acquisition of GMAC ResCap and continued support for ResCap infrastructure including physical and virtual Red Hat servers. After a brief layoff I returned to Ocwen Infrastructure Team as a contractor (3/2015) to assume my role converted to full-time hire in 1/2016. Highlights: ● Supported the legacy data center that maintained ResCap data (due to legal requirements on data preservation). ● Provided engineering support for establishment of new Ocwen infrastructure co-located in Atlanta and Texas with servers running Red Hat 7 under VMware on Cisco UCS blades with NetApp Storage. ● Served on two-engineer team implementing Red Hat Satellite 6 and Capsule infrastructure to support server lifecycle management and software updates, and Red Hat IPA/IDM for identity management, authentication and DNS services. ● Assisted in screening, selecting, advising, and mentoring offshore operations team members in India and the Philippines● Supported enterprise file transfer environment implemented via Axway Secure Transport product. Implemented interoperability with corporate Windows servers, including data sharing via SMB/CIFS. ● Supported migration of multiple databases and applications from legacy data centers to new co-location facilities, including Physical-to-Virtual scenarios. Position was eliminated locally and relocated to the primary Ocwen IT site in Texas.● Assisted Ocwen IT with Red Hat infrastructure support and migrations of ResCap data and applications during initial IT outsourcing to Altisource (later insourced).

I was initially hired as a contractor through EDS and was in-sourced as a full-time employee in 2005 to support GMAC Mortgage infrastructure during expansion and a merger that led to GMAC Residential Capital (ResCap) rebranding as Ally Bank. I was the senior member of a Midrange Systems group supporting all UNIX & Linux systems in data centers in Pennsylvania, Texas, and Minnesota. Highlights: ● Supported the migration of production and development servers to a new data center in Texas and the re-purposing of the data center in Minneapolis as a model/DR facility. ● Assisted in the planning and build-out of the computing infrastructure and separation of the legacy mortgage lending operations, serving as SME for security and compliance issues and audit response.● Supported data centers consisting of HP-UX and Solaris servers responsible for racking servers, loading and configuring OS and storage, and maintaining hardware and backups. ● Planned for and tested DR procedures both on and offsite. Applied periodic software updates.● Served as subject matter expert for security and compliance in the corporate UNIX/Linux infrastructure, tasked with interfacing with internal and external auditors.

I was hired by BetzDearborn (Fortune 500 chemical firm) that merged with Hercules and moved IT operations from Bensalem PA to Delaware. I served as the Lead UNIX Administrator in BetzDearborn’s global HQ’s data center building development and production HP-UX systems and enterprise EMC storage supporting SAP, Oracle, Manugistics, and PeopleSoft ERP/MRP products. Highlights: ● Consolidated systems for cost and operational efficiencies. Monitored and tuned systems for outstanding performance. ● Coordinated installation, testing, and deployment of OS upgrades, hardware installations, configurations, and backups. ● Assisted end users, DBAs, and SAP Basis personnel with operating system-related issues. ● Led relocation of UNIX servers to Delaware data centers and a subsequent successful Y2K remediation effort.
