I started my career in the northeast (NYC and Boston) working with the LGBT population and those in acute psychiatric distress. For several years I did clinical work with individuals suffering from severe and persistent chronic mental illness. I became an administrator, supervising other clinicians working towards licensure simultaneously providing program oversight.I worked for 3 years in private practice in Austin TX clients in addiction, couples, and LGBT clients with trauma and high risk behavior histories. My own personal journey in recovery deepens my understanding of my clients’ needs and goals pertaining to risk, social identity/inclusion, issues around addiction and LGBT specialty issues. I continue working via telehealth with clients in Texas and here in Massachusetts, specializing in couples from a Gottman framework and those in recovery from various addictions. My goal is to provide a therapeutic environment- from the office to the community- where clients receive the services they need in a way that respects their dignity, choice, and connects them with a strong network where they are able to thrive.
