Perform internal / external inspection on process equipment, piping, furnaces, and high pressure valves for run and maintain and for scheduled outages at the LyondellBasell Polymers plant.

GE APM Program: Populate the previous line numbers into piping circuits, and all equipment folders with data from the U1’s, construction drawings, equipment specs, and previous visual inspections. QA - review, verify, and make sure all the inspection data was completed and correlated before uploading it into the GE APM software. I deal with Formosa Engineering and their Mechanical Integrity Inspectors on a daily basis to verify all the data is correct.

Performed API 510 Internal / External inspections on the Formosa Plastic Plant OL-1 Unit exchangers at the Dunn Heat Exchangers shop in Bay City, Texas. Reviewed Tube inspection data, NDE / NDT reports, and followed all repair recommendations that were completed from all inspections. Witnessed all assembly of the exchanger components with shell and tube side hydro tests.

Nighttime supervisor and API 510 / 570 Inspector at the Formosa Plastic Plant in Port Lavaca for the GHU and PPU during their unit outages. Coordinate API internal / external inspections along with NDE / NDT inspection on Towers, Drums, Exchangers, Furnaces, Filters, and Tanks. Generated repair recommendations and reviewed inspection reports. I worked closely with the Formosa engineering group, Formosa operations, Formosa safety, and The Woodgroup in facilitating inspections.

Performed API 570 / API 510 internal and external inspections at the LimeTree Bay Refinery for their Restart Project in St. Croix. Visual inspections were performed on towers, columns, drums, exchangers, boilers, filters, furnaces, and all other associated critical equipment and critical piping associated with the refinery start-up which has been out of service since 2012.

Performed API 570 / API 510 internal and external inspections (reactor, exchangers, drums, hoppers, columns, boiler, expansion joints, and associated critical equipment and piping) during the Chemours Company October Turnaround in their Hydrofluoric Acid Unit and the Sulfuric Acid Unit.

API 570 and API 510 inspector at the Dow Chemical Plant in Midland Michigan. Performed external inspection along with ultrasonic thickness inspection on equipment and piping systems to be within compliance. Performed remaining life calculations on equipment and piping. Made recommendations for repairing equipment and piping. Worked closely with the Dow Chemical Inspection Lead and engineers on findings from inspection.

QA, API 570, and API 510 inspector as the representative for the Celanese Corporation Clear Lake Plant in Texas for pre-turnaround, and the plant total outage for the fabrication of the Utility unit steam and fuel gas piping throughout the plant to the proposed cut lines for the adding of double block and bleeds to each unit inside the plant. This steam and fuel gas project is the sole reason for the total plant outage. S.W.A.T. (Specialty Welding and Turnaround) performed the welding and installation of the piping, and I was responsible for witnessing the hydrostatic testing of all pipe spools, hydrostatic testing of flanges by Carber Services, reviewing the radiographs that were performed by the Mistras Group, performed ultrasonic testing, and visual inspection for CUI and internal erosion / corrosion at proposed cut lines, witnessed the installation of the new pipe or equipment, made recommendations to the Celanese Corporation inspectors for repair or replacement of items that were found to be unsuitable for continued service, witnessed the new paint coating, and I witnessed the installation of new insulation to the Celanese specification and procedures, reviewed all inspection reports, and the WPS / PQR welding procedures.

Performed CUI inspection and base plant inspections (API 570 and API 510) on piping and equipment at the Chevron Cedar Bayou Plant in Baytown Texas. Primarily I performed the CUI inspections for the upcoming total plant outage in the fall of 2016 to make sure that the pipe and equipment was fit for continued service or to schedule repairs / replacement during the total plant outage.

Responsible for the CUI program in the Coatings unit area at the Bayer Chemical plant in Baytown Texas on piping, vessels, and tanks. API 510, 570, and 653 external inspections were performed also while performing the CUI inspections.

I was transferred to be the unit inspector for the El Dorado Nitrogen CO plant (inside the Bayer Chemical plant) performing API 570, 510, and 653 external inspections. I also performed internal inspections, reviewed radiographic film, witnessed hydrotesting of pipe spools that were installed, and reviewed all inspection reports during the unit outages.
