Turnaround maintenance, battery limit isolations and project work primarily at Viva Energy Geelong Refinery

Use of maintenance computer systems for tracking scheduled work, creating job requests, ordering parts and time keeping.Active participation and contribution in work-place meetings regarding job starts, safety and problem solving.Proactive maintenance on plant equipment including pulverizers, apron feeders, pumps, motors, valves, pipe systems, bunker systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, conveyers, tanks and structures. Utilizing trade acquired skills and knowledge to complete maintenance requirements, for example, MIG ARC TIG welding, oxy cutting, fabrication of jobs from engineering drwaings, diagnostic work on plant equipment, etc. Recipient in charge of an isolation and permit to work, ensuring a safe work place for co-workers and contractors, managing tasks for a successful completion of work scope during normal and shut down periods.Monitoring and isolating of plant equipment, and systems, managing water systems and performing routine observation and testing to ensure safe and reliable plant operation Active involvement in site safety and improvement, undertaking the role of Safety Representative July 2014 onwards.Additional responsibility of Power Station Field Operator undertaken from 2012 onwards which includes issuing permits, preparing isolations, maintenance reporting and other routine duties.

Tasks included maintenance, installation and commissioning of plant and equipment at industrial sites throughout Victoria and interstate, shutdown and breakdown maintenance, trouble shooting/ problem solving, reading and interpreting detailed technical drawings, quality control, strict compliance with OH&S, working with hazardous material and general workshop duties.Projects included:Installation of new plant machinery and conveys at CSR Gyprock, YaravilleConstruction and commissioning of Otway Gas Project, Port CampbellBasell plant expansion and upgrade at Shell Refinery, Corio Plant upgrade at Qenos, Altona
