I have been in the stamping industry since 1986. I am a carded Journeyman Tool Maker by trade, and this has served me well as I progressed to supervisor and now manager. Being a toolmaker by trade has given me the ability to know what my team needs. It helps me understand their points of view, and has allowed me to connect with them, building mutual trust. I am a data driven leader with a consistent record of continuous improvement projects which allows manufacturing to be more successful from an up time and efficiency standpoint. Parts from my team consistently meet the quality expectations of customers. I have been involved in plant layouts for new equipment, involved deeply with numerous new tool launches, new equipment, new technology, all to provide the best process to meet today’s market and demands.I was previously the manager of a progressive die department and our large press transfer department which has approximately 45-50 employees and 18 presses ranging from 200 tons, 400 tons, and 300 tons up to 600 tons, with Servo technology. I also created a preventive die maintenance department within the progressive die department to support continuous improvement and regular daily die maintenance. I am an active man that truly loves spending time with his family. I enjoy hunting, fishing and spending time on the water. I was heavily involved in coaching football and baseball with all 3 of my kids when they were growing up. I feel that coaching my kids in sports gave me a different outlook on how to coach people in real life. There are plenty of similarities in being a father, a coach, or a manager. It is trying to instill in others self-confidence, which breeds self-belief, resulting in giving it your best effort in what you are trying to accomplish.
