Initiatives was established in 2005 in response to the growing need for strategic businesses development services for a variety of organizations. Examples include:• Partnered with KU Med to promote and project manage an anti-terror/disaster recovery event that trained 1,200 health and first responder professionals. • Worked closely with the IBEW Local 124 in Kansas City to promote and project manage green energy initiatives such as smart grid, solar installation and electric vehicle infrastructure.• At the request of the President of the Kansas City Area Development Council, provided strategy and project management services to design a bid for the Amazon HQ2 RFP. Developed key findings that are currently being used to recruit companies to Kansas City.• Worked with Cliff Illig, Co-Founder, former CEO and Chair of Cerner Corporation, to architect and prototype EnterpriseKC, a new, business-led economic development entity focused on enterprise development and job growth for specific industry clusters in the Kansas City region.
