I do this by building trusted relationships and cross-functional influence among teams and organizations. I pride myself in maintaining calm and good humor under pressure while driving complex legal projects to completion.In addition to fractional IP and general counsel arrangements with startups and SMEs, I am available to work with entrepreneurs, corporations and law firms on strategic projects and transactions and advise on important legal issues.I have held a variety of positions in industry, law firms and government. I previously served as associate general counsel of IP and product at the world's leading technology cannabis vaporizer company. Prior to that, I served as general counsel and VP of intellectual property at a consumer travel products company, partner at a top global IP law firm, as a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. As an active member of the community, I frequently lecture on intellectual property and brand protection issues and am an active participant in a number of bar associations including AIPLA, where I have served in a wide range of positions including on the Board of Directors. I have a strong passion and dedication for mentoring and fostering diversity in the IP profession, and serve as formal and informal mentor to a large number of diverse law students and young attorneys. I am also currently serving as the co-chair of the In-House Counsel Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area.
