As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all matters pertaining to IT requirements, including coordination between headquarters and subordinate commands, and conducting the project planning. Management and implementation goals are analyzed and assigned, having been gathered from the customer’s information systems requirements. A cost benefit analysis is produced to identify the best course of action, and evaluated to ensure compliance with all mandated regulations, and directives.Additional duties require the coordination of contractor work schedules, and ensuring their procedures are in line with the internal IT staff in order to ensure the goals of the organization are met. A thorough review of completed contractor work to ensure it meets the standards required by the organization. Served as the CFAY CIO when required assigning work schedules to staff and ensuring they receive the proper guidance. Assisted the CIO with developing position descriptions, conducting interviews, and candidate selections as required. Reviewed Equal Opportunity (EO) complaints with the supervisor in order to resolve personnel issues.Assigned as a Project Manager to meet the requirements for CFAY emergency management IT systems. This involves the planning, design and installation of the MNS (Mass Notification System) install on Yokosuka and Ikego installation. The installations lead point of contact for LMR (Land Mobile Radio) installation. Responsibilities include ensuring all identified sites are prepped for the installation of the equipment, and antennas. Includes researching new technologies to counter evolving threats and implementing standard solutions throughout 500th MI Bde. Develops and staffs Information Assurance Policy within 500th MI Bde. Reviews and evaluates information assurance/system security solutions recommended by DOD/DA, industry, and from other organizations within and outside 500th MI Bde and recommends adopting solutions based on applicability to the 500th MI Bde Systems Architecture and Information Assurance Policy, requirements, and level of threat. Assures that the system accreditation's for five networks are maintained and are up-to-date. Provides advisory support to field activities and staff on System Accreditation's and System Risk Assessments.Prepares and presents briefings to the 500th Command Group, coordinating staff, and visitors on command information system issues. Prepares and staffs decision papers, information papers, and conducts staff studies. Represents 500th MI Bde at meetings, site surveys, vendor briefings, site conference, DOD and DA policy meetings, and in negotiations with industry.

Information security analysis using HBSS, along with Windows and syslog auditing tools. Windows server administration using Active Directory, Terminal Services, Exchange, SQL, VMWare ESXi virtual machine hypervisor administration using the vSphere client. Which included the diagnostic, repair, and recovery of systems infrastructure. Conducted system audits using Retina and Gold Disc scanning software, and remediation of the vulnerabilities. Assigned to NCTS Far East Japan and underway onboard US Navy warships. Responsibilities included the delivery and sustainment of information technology systems which required constant connectivity between shipboard and shore based facilities regardless of location of the ship. Technical advice on information security and technology was provided to personnel when requested. Other responsibilities included applying the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and performing a DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) on the information systems, and documentation of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Assignment as a ONE-NET enterprise administrator, that included the management of the ONE-NET Tivoli infrastructure running on the Sun Solaris operating environment. Active Directory required management of domain controllers, and Exchange administration involved diagnosing issues with synchronization, and organizational management for mail servers, and using Active Directory Service Interfaces to manage all of the resources within the enterprise. Database management involved performing Oracle database tasks, such a running queries, database cleanup, and database pruning.

As a Systems Administrator Supervisor contracted to the US Army Corp of Engineers,I supervised individuals that were assigned to complete daily tasks that involved Windows system administration, network administration, information assurance, and enterprise management. I also was tasked to create processes and ensure their implementation. These involved items such as a user account creation process, a help desk process, a change control process, and a software management process.An additional responsibility with this position involved Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert patch management. The system I created was designed to automatically deploy patches to systems at a prescribed time, and patch any workstations or servers that were identified as non-compliant. This ensured that all systems were 100% compliant.Additional projects included base-lining the entire organization from various versions of Windows (98, NT, 2000), all to Widows XP/2003. The project was planned and briefed to upper management, and green lit a 90 day window for deployment. This deployment included all the local offices in Hawaii (Ft. Shafter, Schofield Barracks, Tripler and Hickam AFB), and remote islands such as Kwajalein, Palau, and Guam.
