Troy Lawrence is a Marine Corps veteran and accomplished law enforcement professional with 29 years of experience in the law enforcement field. He is a retired Sheriff’s Corporal from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. His most notable assignments during his law enforcement tenure include duties in patrol, bicycle patrol, Special Enforcement Team duties, narcotics and he was a 15-year veteran of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Services Team (SWAT) with duties as a sniper and entry/breech team member.Over his career, Mr. Lawrence was credited with over 500 successful tactical entries which directly resulted in the arrests of hundreds of high-risk warrant subjects and seizure of thousands of pounds of various narcotics and firearms. Additionally, Mr. Lawrence supervised one of the full time SWAT teams for the Department for 2.5 years as an acting Sergeant.Since retiring from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Mr. Lawrence has become an instructor in tactical firearms proficiency, close quarters tactics, critical incident management, active shooter response, and dignitary protection. He has 14 years of experience as a firearms instructor for The College of The Desert in Palm Desert, CA, the Bureau of Security Investigative Services and the Riverside County Sheriff's CCW Unit. Along with this, Mr. Lawrence manages the Threat Assessment Program for The Detail where he supervises the comprehensive threat assessment services to high-net-worth clients, celebrities, and corporate executives. He has conducted threat assessments at Temple Sinai Palm Desert, Jewish Family Services of the Desert Palm Springs, and The Chabad of Rancho Mirage, along with numerous other places of worship throughout Southern and Northern California. As an instructor for The Detail and Security Training Experts, he serves as a law enforcement subject matter expert and firearms specialist where he trains close protection agents, law enforcement personnel, and other protective services personnel in law enforcement procedures and techniques and tactical firearms use.
