Worked with the Ask team. Service allows customers to interact with one another to ask and answer questions about products directly on the retail website. Migrated email template rendering software from previous code base (Perl) to new code base (Java). Software is used to render emails to send to customers when a question they asked has been answered. Completely implemented the feature with a new design and new functionality (added Buy Now button). Testing for the feature was also delivered (including unit testing). Designed and added functionality to record data to analyze impact of changes. Also added the capability to scale up and down the use of the new template for easier repair and safety in production - used proxy design pattern to perform A/B testing on feature.

Worked on pilot project with the goal of creating a predictive model for aeroelastic flutter based on current wind tunnel data sets, and researched innovative techniques to potentially solve the problem. Work began in MATLAB for integration with subject matter experts. Also worked in R programming language developing a piecewise regression algorithm.Also worked briefly on assisting and regulating data entry into Langley's Watson data repository.

Maintained survey software used to garner information about introductory International Relations courses. Developed using the Django web framework (Python HTML Javascript, CSS). Also briefly assisted in the creation of new survey technology using the Joomla content management framework (PHP).

Developed a program to detect defects in the lenses used in the laser systems. Used a new diagnostic (TSF-Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), which monitors energy reflected backwards from the target.
