I started working in the construction industry when I was 14 doing concrete flatwork during summer breaks, which continued through my Junior year in college. This job set the foundation for my strong work ethic and my passion for the construction industry.I took construction courses in high school including Building Trades, as well as an internship with a construction firm as an Architect Intern during my Senior year. Taking these courses, as well as others, allowed me to be one of the first students at my high school to graduate with both Academic and Technical Honors degrees.With the encouragement of my teachers in high school that I admired most, I went to Purdue University in West Lafayette and obtained a Bachelors of Science in Building and Construction Management in 2017. The education and experience that I gained at Purdue has set the trajectory for the rest of my career.The summer before my Senior year of college, for the first time, I did not go back to doing concrete but instead interned with Gaylor Electric in Elkhart. There I gained experience in the commercial electrical construction industry by working in the field.After I graduated and got married in May 2017, I started working full time for Gaylor Electric in Lafayette. There I continued to challenge myself by staying in the field, and beginning my Electrical Apprenticeship through ABC.In July of 2018, with a baby on the way in September, my wife and I moved to Elkhart to be closer to family. I transferred to the Gaylor branch located in Elkhart, and started a new position as a Project Engineer. I worked on many projects during my time there and grew in my skills and experience as a PE, until I left in May of 2020.Now, my wife and I have been called into the ministry. We are campus missionaries with Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship at IU in Bloomington, IN!
