I'm a serial competitor, health enthusiast, positive psychology believer and golf addictMy athletic career began in Little League as it has for so many, but my passion for fitness and the outdoors developed on the beach, enrolled at six years old into the Capitola Jr. Lifeguard Program. Thrust to the beach at 9am every summer morning with seasoned lifeguards and kids ranging all the way to 17 years old who ready for tower duty at Northern California beaches left me wide eyed as a six year old, but it is here where I developed the most into who I am today, receiving the Team Captain award twice as the Leader of the group taking on the Pacific OceanBorn out of my passion for competition and group achievement I quickly developed into a strong baseball player, lettering four years in High School in Baseball and receiving an athletic Scholarship to the University of MichiganAs I turned professional and pursued my dream, I recognized that I could dually pursue life skills outside of the baseball field. I pursued jobs at Lululemon to leverage the company's deep footprint in its local fitness and health communities. It gave me a platform to interact with many leaders in the industry while also developing marketing, branding, and public speaking skillsDuring my professional baseball career I was traded to the New York Mets who I still play for today. Upon being traded I have gone through numerous injuries requiring surgery, ultimately costing me over three seasons of baseball. A game I loved had been ripped away for multiple seasons; I would never take a push up for granted againIn this time, the ability to engage in the mission of getting back to the field of play with physical therapists, sports scientists, coaches and fellow teammates further engrained my belief that we get the most out of ourselves when we get the most out of the people surrounding usWhen we face the crucible of uncertainty, there is an immense opportunity for reinvention. In each setback, my love for health and fitness, teamwork, and positive psychology grows. Stress is the stimulus for growth and with a growth mindset one can accomplish anythingMy newest endeavor has been golf. I did not grow up playing but it has been an immense relief outside of the baseball field as well as a new challenge for myself. Taking my athletic and competitive background to this game, I have jumped head first into it. Located in Jupiter, Florida for my rehabilitation, I have had superior access to connecting to professional golf I look forward to elevating the existence of your team next!
