I’m a UX Design Researcher, Mayor, and Keynote Speaker. My mantra is: Fear is not a reason you can't, just an excuse for why you won't. In my community, I thrive working with people to solve neighborhood challenges. As Mayor, I am focused on five priorities: 1. Improving roadway, stormwater, and pedestrian infrastructure 2. Leading our digital transformation and transparent financial reporting3. Preparing youth for leadership, careers, and business opportunities 4. Incentivizing economic investment through beautification and annexation 5. Developing a strategic plan for the next decadeWith UX design, I combine my visual design skills with data and research to create intuitive experiences that reduce frustration while supporting business goals. My role is to investigate the pain points of end users by defining and observing user behavior without interfering.I speak frequently about bringing local government and everyday citizens together to catalyze change. My work in user experience design informs my approach to service in the public sector. Speaking allows me to inspire other leaders to use the feedback loop to understand their constituents' needs, and to generate better solutions to the needs by listening with empathy. My favorite topic is youth engagement: our future leaders have plenty to say if we give the space to speak.It is my pleasure to serve others and deliver results.
