Serve as lead developer, subject matter expert, mentor, release manager, and scrum master for several projects, facilitating software release activities, and coordination with other teams. I hosted all of the agile ceremonies, and maintained projects through JIRA.Developed a Java RESTful service to configure clinical programs and maintained the associated Angular UI. This application allows users to configure clinical programs which are then applied to targeted members.Serve on the Web Service / API Governance team, a committee which other teams and MedImpact submit their APIs to for approval and guidance. This team ensures APIs are created in an industry standard way.Converted old SOAP web services into RESTful APIs, and integrated them into an API gateway called Gravitee.

Served as lead developer and subject matter expert.Developed a suite of Java RESTful APIs in Spring Boot. This application allows users to target health plan members for cost-saving programs, generic over brand medications, and mail-order medications. The application orchestrates communications with their provider, physician, and pharmacy.Developed and maintained an enterprise communication platform used for fulfilling communications through a variety of mediums, including fax, letters, and email. This platform is a hybrid SOAP/REST web service, which uses an XML schema approved by committee. The service makes use of ActiveMQ for processing and feedback to consumers.Created Ansible playbooks for my projects to facilitate continuous delivery and used Jenkins for continuous integration. Code deployed to a specific GIT branch triggered an automatic build and deployment. Jenkins jobs were used to run the Ansible playbooks for automated deployment.

I developed the web-based Deployment Utility for ADVANCE, a solution allowing IT sailors on Navy ships to manage QoS configurations on network devices. ADVANCE integrated with a GOTS Network Management Tool Suite, allowing sailors to deploy configurations with the click of a button. The Deployment Utility featured a Java backend, with JPA annotated entities for Hibernate, a REST service, and servlets. It featured a PostgreSQL database and a JavaScript frontend, utilizing the ExtJS, D3, and HighCharts libraries. It also featured an authentication system, which provided role-based access and SHA512 encrypted passwords.Major accomplishments include building an SSH Client using JSch, providing functionality to interact and manage with network devices remotely. I also created an SNMP service using SNMP4J, and an accompanying front-end graphing utility with HighCharts. The service and utility visualized network traffic granularly, at a per interface and per traffic class level. To visualize entire Cisco router configurations, I built a heavily modified Sankey diagram with D3 to show objects' relationships. As part of research and development, I built functional mockups for proposals, usually using PHP, ExtJS and D3. I also worked with a SonarQube plugin for Jenkins to improve overall usability of both systems., and explored new technologies.

Continued development on the Core Development Framework, making it faster, more efficient and project ready.Developed a web tool, called Raptor, to process large datasets into a database. The ExtJS UI was used to display, manage, and run reports on the Open-Source Software identification data.Worked with a team to develop Test Depo 2.0, a complete rewrite of Test Depot Suite with the new Core Development Framework. This modernized the tool and drastically improved the performance. Designed and built a new web tool using the Core framework, called QMC IPC, capable of acting as an intermediary for customers to input requests, which are then approved by an administrator, and forwarded to an internal API for processing.Designed and built the Strategy Alignment tool using the Core framework, a solution giving department leads the ability to manage deliverables and how they align with the company's direction. Seeing visibility at the Senior Vice President level, the tool allowed for efficient resource allocation. Information was initially displayed using a MindMap view, but was later transformed into a hierarchical tree structure. It featured extensive charting and reporting.

Worked on several web development projects, interfacing with customers and assessing their needs and requirements.Worked with Test Depot Suite, a test case and requirements management suite, and provided solutions to business-critical defects and responded to new features requests. Created an automated development process, using Perl, which integrated with Git and a defect-tracking tool called ExtraView. This process streamlined releases and improved developer efficiency.Began the creation of a Core Development Framework, using new, Web-2.0 technologies. This framework allowed for the quick ramp-up time for new projects and faster development. Because of the unified codebase, support for projects using the framework was swift and efficient. The framework consisted of a PHP Codeigniter back end, with a JavaScript front-end. It utilized the ExtJS and D3 JavaScript libraries and made use of a MySQL database.
