🚀 I like building things that seem like magic to others.Growing up I spent a lot of time building stuff. I enjoyed learning how the world worked and using that knowledge to create useful things.At 8, my teacher told my parents I'd never finish high school. Determined to prove them wrong, I collected scrap parts to build working computers and taught myself to code from textbooks and the early web. By 13, I was making money writing apps to clean and optimize PCs, charging neighbours for regular service.I embraced being a square peg in a world of round roles. In high school, I won awards (and sometimes got in trouble) for my software and became the first in my family to graduate high school. I wanted to create more magic, so I studied computer science and electronics engineering at university. I built race cars, won awards for advanced telemetry and control systems, and co-founded a student space program—convincing the university to trust us with $270k to build and launch a satellite. We made history.While studying, I grew a freelance electronics engineering consultancy into my first company, hiring friends and together we built medical devices, playgrounds, and more, for clients. I learned that real magic comes from organizing atoms, bits and people, and rarely from following the well-trodden path.After a chance elevator ride with Buzz Aldrin, I started Moonshot—a sandbox for bold ideas, where people could try, fail, invent and succeed. I travelled the world to assemble a team of 40+ incredible partners who also thought differently from the mainstream. Together we pooled our time and capital to launch a space tech investment fund. Today, it has an 8.64x TVPI—a testament to the community of amazing founders and mentors who work together to create a rising tide that lifts all boats.Yet, I still had an itch to scratch. Even in stealth, my latest venture, Nebula, redefines what it means to create through frontier technology that feels like science fiction.But it’s not science fiction—it’s here, it works, our first customers love it, and I believe it will trigger a new industrial revolution.
