As the Director of Emergency Preparedness, Business Continuity, Risk Management, and Special Events Planning at Medavie Health Services New Brunswick, I am responsible for leading our provincial program for integrated health services delivery in response to natural or man-made disasters, pandemics, and special events. With over 20 years of experience in this field and holding credentials such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP), and Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise.My core competencies lie in developing and implementing emergency and disaster management plans, policies, and procedures, including business continuity and risk management documents. Regular exercises and training sessions for our staff and stakeholders are a key part of my responsibilities, allowing us to evaluate and improve our emergency response capabilities.I am proud to have been recognized with the Motorola Award of Excellence in Emergency Preparedness and the Governor General's EMS Exemplary Service Award for my contributions to organizational resilience and public safety.My mission is clear: to support Medavie Health Services New Brunswick in delivering high-quality, patient-centered, and cost-effective healthcare services to our communities.
