JFOW brings together professionals from academic institutions, government agencies, and food innovators to develop digital infrastructure for the Internet of Food. Includes interfaces across production systems, coordination of international supply chains, and diversification of recognized food sources across cultures and existing labeling standards.Recent projects:- Contributor to WikiFCD, a global database of nutritional data for foods, within the Wikimedia platform- Curation team member for FoodOn, striving to create the "lingua franca" of food categorization- Developed taxonomy of terms for FoodOn's special workgroup on Food Processing

IBM develops Blockchain-based software solutions for clients across many industries. In my business development role, I partner with IBM's clients and Sales leaders to develop new blockchain business concepts and structure consulting engagements to re-architect business ecosystems. Special focus on using Blockchain to trace food products through the supply chain. Developed prototype for micropayments to enable peer-to-peer sharing of agricultural machinery.

As a Business Consultant within IBM's Watson IoT Center, I act as an intermediary between IBM's technologists (who invent things) and clients who are evolving their business models. Developed first-of-a-kind artificial intelligence that enabled ovens to adapt recipes for automated cooking.

During the transition to Munich, I freelanced as a strategy consultant to help several organizations plan for growth. Clients included an e-bike store preparing for a nationwide rollout and a non-profit expanding its business model within Africa.

As leader of Point B's Strategy consulting practice, my focus is developing new business models that enable new products to come to market. Specialized skills in organizations that sit between the private and public sphere-- foundations, institutes, regulatory bodies-- and small/medium enterprise.

The Stupski Foundation is building partnerships across the Education and other sectors to bring transformative, system-level change to public education in the US. As a member of the Strategy, Knowledge, and Innovation team, I focus on understanding the environmental and economic factors that make breakthrough change possible in public education.

Teach For America recruits top graduates to teach in urban and rural schools, and enables them to help close the achievement gap in America’s highest-poverty communities. While at Teach For America, I was Vice President of Strategy. I led a team of strategic analysts to build systems to measure the effectiveness of its teachers and use that feedback to drive continuous improvement in how the teachers are trained and supported. Key responsibilities of my team included:• Developing student achievement metrics that estimate the academic growth in Teach For America’s classrooms• Building management tools and processes to review student achievement information on a regular basis and translate it into inputs for managerial decision-making• Developing a national strategy for investment in student assessments, and vetting assessments currently in use• Synthesizing lessons about classroom and managerial performance, for use in executive decision making and resource allocation

Prior to joining the education industry, I worked at McKinsey & Co, a leading strategy consultancy. During my 4 years in their London office, I was a Consultant and then Manager. McKinsey focuses on helping business leaders to make difficult strategic decisions and adapt their organizations to new ways of working. While at McKinsey, I helped some of the world’s largest organizations tackle a large variety of business issues:• Developing a 4-year strategy for the Education division in one of the world’s largest foundations• Designing a succession planning system, to guarantee a sufficient supply of principals for the UK school system over the next decade• Designing new funding flows for the national health system• Designing the HR function for one of the world’s largest petroleum companies• Optimizing the supply chain and reviewing procurement processes for the Ministry of Defense, currently managing projects in excess of $8 billion/year• Improving team dynamics and facilitating new strategic direction for leadership teams in multiple industries
