• Respond to and evaluate hospital referrals for the potential of organ/tissue donation• Evaluate medical suitability of potential organ and/or tissue donors, utilizing information from medical records, history and physical examination, current health status and DRAI.• Work closely with hospital staff and family coordinator in offering potential donor families the option of donation in an appropriate and sensitive manner. • Professionally collaborate with hospital’s medical staff and directs the clinical management of the authorized donor to ensure stability and organ optimization. • Request and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed for evaluation of suitability and clinical management. • Assist in perfusion, preservation, packaging, and distribution of donated organs• Conduct all aspects of the donation process in compliance with established federal and state laws, AOPO and AATB standards, UNOS and FDA guidelines, CDC, OPO and local hospital policies.• Lead coordination of transportation and other logistics for incoming recovery teams

Deliver medical education lectures and presentations regarding the care of the burn-injured patient, general wound care, current burn/wound guidelines, treatments, therapies, and emerging advancements.
