Tim Sexton has benefited from close working relationships with leading figures in business, finance, entertainment, government, and philanthropy. He is an Emmy Award winning producer who has advised record labels, film studios, sports teams, investment banks, Fortune 100’s, NGOs, public officials, Nobel Laureates, and rock stars. Sexton’s company, the Make Good Group, is a pioneering social impact firm merging popular culture and public policy. Tim has been a senior creative executive and/or consultant to 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia Tri-Star, Warner Brothers, Disney, and Intermedia. He also co-founded Magstripe Entertainment, a leading producer of music for film/TV. He is credited in nearly 100 major motion pictures and television programs. Sexton also founded successful boutique recorded music labels with Warner Music and Universal Music. Tim was the Executive Vice President-Chief Content Officer of Alliance Entertainment, the largest media distribution company in the world. He was also the CEO-President of Digital On-Demand/RedDotNet, a leading-edge provider of UIX and database services for home entertainment and retail. Sexton began his career as a tour-production manager and lighting designer for legendary recording artists, variety stars, and ice shows.Tim was Executive Producer of Live 8, the largest music event in history witnessed and viewed by a global audience of 3 billion, compelling the G8 nations to reverse the debt of the world's poorest economies. Sexton also produced television’s historic $200 million charity defining program, American Idol Gives Back. These and other Sexton-led social impact events over the years featured a litany of the biggest names in entertainment.In 2017, Tim co-conceived the Qualcomm Tricorder X Prize; a global competition that awarded $10 million for a consumer handheld wireless device that successfully makes medical diagnoses. In 2022, he helped architect and organize California’s Proposition 28 which provides $1 billion in annual funding, without any new taxes, for arts and music education in public schools.Over the years, Tim has acted an advisor or director to the Yale University’s Thorne Prize for Social Innovation in Health or Education, Rock the Vote, USC’s Center for Body Computing, Alliance for Climate Education, Medical Aid for El Salvador, A Sense of Home, EMA, and Liberty Hill Foundation. He is the southern California co-founder of E2, Environmental Entrepreneurs – the business voice of the Natural Resources Defense Council.
