For me, life is about RELATIONSHIPS. Relationship with self, relationships with others and relationship with the earth on which we depend. Good design has the ability to foster these relationships, from the way we live within our private spaces, to our connectivity with others in community, and the design of our very social structures.Coming from a background in public health as a Registered Nurse, I became aware of the direct impact that our surroundings have on the way we live and on our health and wellbeing. It also became obvious to me that prevention of health issues is usually easier than the cure.Looking forward, I am excited about the prospect of combining Interior Design with Landscape Architecture to design spaces that connect the inside with the outdoors, promoting relationships that positively impact health, and support a sustainable future.
