Construction manager responsible for day to day running of maintenance project currently at Royal Mail.

Responsiable for dealing with all contractors to site, making sure their RAM's (risk assesments & method statements) in place. Site contact for any building projects and planning work so as to not to impact on the operational floor.Making sure all compliance paperwork is in order, meeting legal requirments.Fire precaution officer for the mail centre.Supporting the mail centre manager with day to day workload including emails and meetings.

Responsible for dealing with all contractors who attend site, making sure all RAMS are in place, prior to work. Making sure all building faults are reported and repaired in a timely manor. Represents the site for any building projects being undertaken. Fire warden for site, ensuring we have regular drills and weekly testing of alarms. Assist work area managers with accident investigating and reporting.

Worked along side recruitment to bring in new recruits to Royal Mail. Trained all new recruits on a two week course, the first week was on the sorting of letters which include a speed / quality test at the end of their first week. The second week was an induction week. Responsible for organising all staff received manual handling training. Planned training schedules for trainers who worked for me. Arranging and delivery training to staff in post.

Making sure staff levels were correct to be able to clear mail for despatch.Staff discipline and attendance procedure compliance.Working to targets and time. Dealing with customer issues.
