A 3 year National Lottery Project tasked with bringing all Citizen's Advice Bureau's and specialist Advice Agencies in East Sussex together in order to to tender for the new Legal Aid contracts, after changes to the procurement process required one bid per county. Supported and trained Self-Advocacy Groups for greater User Involvement in Social Services/Health provision, service planning and budget meetings.Contributed to Government Bills for Learning Disability and Mental Health White Papers.Worked alongside my Looked After Children and Mental Health Manager colleagues to set up a Pilot project for ICAS (Independent Complaints Advocacy Service (NHS)). Prepared a 150page Tender Application, on behalf of the charity, for a contract to provide this as a three year service, and successfully secured a significant 1.6million Government tender contract for a 3-year South (UK) Region ICAS project, as their Preferred Provider Model.Assisted in the organisation of a National ICAS UK seminar.
