My research group is interested in deciphering the "Chaperone Code", the vast number of post-translational modifications present on chaperones such as Hsp70. By understanding and manipulating the Hsp70 chaperone code, we hope to develop novel therapies to cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.Specialties: Protein biochemistry, molecular biology, proteomics, protein-protein interactions, protein folding, CRISPR-CAS9, bacterial and yeast genetics, cancer, signal transduction, phosphorylation, Hsp70, Hsp90, cell cycle, DNA damage response.Lab webpage: www.trumanlab.org
