A hands-on resource assisting in the architecture, design and development for a system processingmillions of financial transactions in an enterprise, multi-purpose, global database.

Tasked to use data assets to increase top-line results, created a team of business savvy developers and DBA’s to manage all databases and related processes 24x7x365. Managed databases up to 4TB and applications processing 2-5 million transactions per day including data warehouses/marts, DSS, OLTP, OLAP and CRM. Established change management, testing environments, continuity plans, archival procedures and database standards. Automated database maintenance, development procedures, audit procedures and business processes resulting in one of the largest and most accurate private databases of US residences in the world.

Reporting to the CIO I combined three software development groups, standardized development processes, tools and architectures; implemented project management, SDLC, and QA while growing relationships outside IT which enhanced prioritization and communication. As a member of the executive management team, recommended new technology initiatives and management methods allowing IT to flex with the entrepreneurial enterprise.

Reporting to the SrVP of IT I organized and trained teams providing corporate and call center support; architected a new team and systems for 3 new business ventures and advised owners and executives on technology and service bureau strategies.

As technical lead and chief architect, rebuilt the team and processes focused on telecom clients. Led a matrix team defining IT metrics, member of the IT Standards team and co-founded the CIO’s R&D team to create a unified call center architecture.

Started as entry level telephone sales representative and steadily progressed through the organization becoming the Systems Operations Coordinator (Mar 92) reporting directly to the owners and responsible for enterprise technology. Automated operations providing ground up, hands on experience in all technical facets of IT and team development. A smooth running department allowed promotion to R&D Manager (Sept 94) which included prior responsibilities, new technology and new business initiatives.
