Profile bio

About Mark B.

I am an extremely hands-on type of technical producer. Having been a QA lead at Microsoft and a Software Development Manager / Programmer at Altiris, I've been very technical since starting my software development career over 25 years ago.I love being a Producer, helping get problems solved between programmers, artists and designers. It's not always easy, but it's extremely rewarding! I was the Senior Technical Producer at ZeniMax Online Studios working on The Elder Scrolls Online, working with all the programmers on the game side of the tech stack. In addition I was also the Producer for the UI, QA Engineering and CS Tech teams. Launching ESO was one of the highlights of my career!I was the Executive Producer at Real U for Otherland, leading the production efforts of a AAA MMO 60+ person team, while also helping fulfill other roles as necessary; Acting Systems Design Lead, Acting QA Manager, and Acting Outsourcing Manager at different times. Unfortunately for all of us at Real U, one of our primary financiers was indicted for running pyramid (Ponzi) schemes in Germany and all his funds were frozen, in turn freezing all our funds. After over 6 years of development and multiple closed beta tests, Real U closed without shipping Otherland.

Listed skills include Game Development, Video Games, Mmo, Gameplay, and 26 others.
