I started as a Team Member in the Grocery Department, working there for a total of 12 weeks before transitioning to the Prepared Foods Department where my job title was Prepared Foods Team Member. During my time as a Grocery Department Team Member I was responsible for keeping a presentable, clean, and well organized workplace while providing excellent customer service and being ready to answer any sort of question to a plethora of incoming patrons on a constant basis. Along with conducting the processing multiple pallets of store product, which included coordinating and often directing and training fellow coworkers to receive the product from our delivery trucks, counting and logging every item, then signing off on the order slip before breaking down and organizing each pallet before distribution onto our store shelves. As a Prepared Foods Team Member I began as a Dishwasher, before quickly moving to a floating position where I was able to learn multiple different jobs in order to assist in the success of the department. Firstly moving to the Deli counter, where you are expected to work individually, interacting with customers and fulfilling their requests in an efficient and timely manner. Then I transitioned to directing the Pizza counter, where you independently are expected to open and set up your station, then start and consistently produce the product, ensuring proper safety standards have been met such as Temperature control, Cross Contamination, and Quality of Product.
