Tan Teik Seng (TS) is a veteran in the electronics industry with more than 30 years of experience under his belt. TS is Director of AYP Associates, an executive search firm. Mr. Tan is also a Board member of O2micro International Ltd, During his tenure at AMD as Senior Managing Director until his retirement in 2007, TS made significant contributions to the company, providing strategic leadership and management to bring AMD’s manufacturing and technical capabilities to a higher level of excellence. He helped reshape the company’s direction by transferring all production to Asia and transforming AMD Singapore into a Product Development & Manufacturing Equipment Development Centre focusing on high- value engineering and manufacturing for microprocessor. TS also manage the extensive outsourcing manufacturing and logistic activities in Asia..Before becoming MD in 1995, TS was involved in the production and testing of high-value microprocessors and held key positions in the engineering departments since 1984 Due to his Manufacturing Experience,TS was appointed by EDB to be a member of the International Panel of Judges for the Prestigious Singapore Manufacturing Excellence(MAXA)Award in 2007 and 2008. TS is also a member of the judging panel for the 2009 Singapore HR Awards TS is a member of the Advisory Panel of the Singapore Human Resource Institute(SHRI) and Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Engineering. He is also the Chairman of the Board for BizLink, a non-profit organization that provides training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities.TS was a member of the Expert Committee on Microelectronics which made recommendations to the Singapore government on the future of the microelectronics industry.
