As one of the students who had the opportunity to take part in the Merdeka Student Exchange Program Batch 2 for 5 months at Al-Azhar University Indonesia, which is located on Jl. Sisingamangaraja, RT.2/RW.1, Selong, Kec. Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta City, Special Capital Region of Jakarta. This experience gave me an invaluable opportunity to understand and appreciate the richness of the culture of the archipelago and the diversity of science throughout Indonesia.In my 5-month trip, I have been actively involved in many activities of the Merdeka Student Exchange Program both inside and outside the campus which collaborates with students from all corners of Indonesia to explore local culture. I am easy to adapt to the new cultures in my environment, namely in the DKI Jakarta area and its surroundings, and this also makes it easier for me to expand my experience of cultural differences and perspectives through the active interactions I have with people from different backgrounds.I believe that education is not only about oneself, but also about making a positive contribution to local communities.
