Tracy has 35+ years of experience on large-scale public and private architectural projects across all sectors, including Education, Aviation, High-Rise (Office and Residential), Corporate Campus, Museum Multifamily Residential and Retail. As a Principal and the Executive Technical Director of STL, Tracy has had overarching responsibility for the technical excellence and compliance aspects of STL’s practice since the firm's inception, establishing STL’s strong reputation for delivering its visionary designs with exceptional quality and on budget. Tracy's leadership in project execution has resulted in numerous design awards, including AIA National and AIA Chicago Distinguished Building Awards, Richard J Driehaus Community and Neighborhood Award, and Chicago Building Congress Merit Award. Tracy is invested in the next generation of architects both as an NCARB mentor and through ongoing involvement in academia. Tracy has taught Building Science studio at University of Illinois at Chicago with Dan Wheeler and currently serves as a design critic at Northwestern University’s Architectural Engineering and Design (AED) Program, where she also lectures on exterior enclosure systems. In 2023, Tracy was invited to join the Virginia Polytechnic Chicago Studio program, serving as a student host/mentor and design critic.
