Completed honors thesis on skeletal muscle regeneration, studying the connection between fibrocyte-adipocyte precursor cells and their pro-proliferative effect upon muscle satellite cells, with the end goal of developing more effective treatments for muscle wasting diseases. Developed better understanding of translational science and gained independence with hypothesis testing, study design, and laboratory techniques. Work resulted in a thesis titled, “Identifying factors secreted by the Fibro-adipogenic progenitor in skeletal muscle that stimulate satellite cell differentiation.”
