Tsedale Kinfu is the Founder and Executive Director of the New Bright Community Development Center, a local civil society organization established in November 2016, with a vision to foster a self-confident, self-reliant, and empowered society in Ethiopia. Tsedale's career began in education as a teacher, where she discovered her passion for community service. This passion led her to become a trainer for children and youth, ultimately guiding her into the NGO sector, where she fervently advocates for quality education and gender equality.Her academic background encompasses language and social sciences. Tsedale holds a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Language and Social Anthropology and pursued a Master's degree in Anthropology, motivated by her commitment to transforming the lives of underprivileged and underserved communities. Her unwavering sense of purpose drives her to continually expand her knowledge and expertise to address evolving community needs.Tsedale's leadership is shaped by a blend of practical experience, formal education, and participation in various national and international training programs. A highlight of her journey is her year-long Acumen East Africa Fellowship, which emphasizes her dedication to dignified community service, amplifying marginalized voices, fostering effective teamwork, navigating complexities, and demonstrating adaptive leadership. She is also an alumna of the Presidential Women Leadership Program initiated by Her Excellency President Sahle-Work Zewde.Additionally, Tsedale serves as a mentor in the Presidential Mentorship Program, where she guides and empowers young women at the university level, preparing them for professional success. Her commitment to being an agent of change extends to her work as a trainer, focusing on personal growth, gender equity, emotional intelligence, and Media Literacy.
