Co-author of the renowned insurance law treatise Couch on Insurance 3d and is one of the founding partners of the firm. Nationally recognized insurance and reinsurance expert who has been retained nationally and internationally by numerous insurance carriers and policyholders. He is a Certified ARIAS and AAA Arbitrator. His active practice focuses on the defense and insurance coverage aspects of matters involving bad faith; construction site personal injury accidents (Labor Law §§ 200, 240(1) and 241(6)); toxic tort and environmental issues; and extracontractual, product liability, professional liability and railroad litigation. As a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), he is currently Chair of the organization’s Publications Board and has previously served as Chair of DRI’s Insurance Law Committee, Chair of its Law Institute, and a member of its Board of Directors.
