Drafting media statements, advisories and issuing for circulation to provincial and regional media houses • Conduct media monitoring daily and advise management on issues requiring immediate attention • Coordinating public relations and interaction with media houses through media liaison including; media briefings, media interviews, responding to media inquiries • Building partnerships with strategic stakeholders such as media in pursuit of our vision and mission to enhance effective communication particularly to publicize key information campaigns and events • Facilitate and coordinate internal and external events in the province such as Citizens Forum, Constitutional Values and Principles awareness programmes, Ethics and anti-Corruption Awareness Campaigns • Marketing the services of the Institution through electronic and print media • Managing the Institution’s internal communication through cascading information to internal staff via various platforms such as; notice boards, posting of information on intranet, internal emails etc.• Designing and producing internal publications, leaflets and marketing materials • Facilitating media interviews, through national, regional and community radio stations • Drafting information and managing content for the Institution’s social media pages and website • Build and regularly maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote and better position the Institution’s image and identity

• Assist DEL to organize both internal and external information campaigns to raise awareness on critical issues and events to educate the public • Designing information material such as leaflets brochures, posters, etc. for distribution at targeted events and campaigns internally & externally • Attending to client and media enquiries • Assisting in building partnerships with strategic stakeholders such as media in pursuit of our vision and mission to enhance effective communication, particularly to publicize key information campaigns and events • Assist in planning and implementing information programs aimed at identifying public customer needs such as information days and stakeholder engagements that seek to find better understanding and customer satisfaction • Designing, compiling, and editing departmental newsletter using Corel Draw • Uplifting departmental branding to better position our identity at both internal and external events • Ensuring DEL visibility to all national and provincial events through exhibitions, branding and other forms of marketing and distribution of relevant information products • Liaise with service providers especially in the creative industry to design, produce departmental publications and promotional material and distribute to targeted audiences • Write feature articles to articulate DEL position to targeted media houses • Assist in organizing information campaigns within the province to raise awareness and responsive campaigns on critical issues • Performed other essential tasks as required
