1. Fixed Asset Management - Ensuring completeness & accuracy of fixed assets on a monthly basis(i.e. recording, correct payments,labelling, reconciliations and verifications)2. Perform all accounting activities like revaluation, depreciation and disposals according to company policies, processes and procedures3. Payroll Management - Check that all employees are paid on time, salary reconciliations, payments to third parties, submission of WHT at Unified Revenue Services, resolve queries relating to payroll4. Support Finance Manager in preparation & analysis of consolidated budgets and financial statements5. Supervising end of monthly accounting data e.g checking monthly bank reconciliations, sign them off and follow all unpresented cheques and uncredited receipts to ensure they are dealt with accordingly 6. Responsible for internal controls and procedures 7. Budgeting and Control - Ensuring completeness, quality, accuracy and promptness of submission of budgets8. Liquidity planning - quarterly cash flow management, involving requesting funds well in time and a well-coordinated expenditure9. Internal & External Audits - Responsible for both audits and ensuring implementations of audit recommendations10. Part of the National Management Team(NMT) - assist in strategy formulation, review and execution

 Directs, coordinates and performs the activity of properly organizing the accounting function. Provides directives and follows-up on the preparation and timely submission of budget proposals by facilities and the National Office. Approves expenditures and payments ensuring that these are appropriate, supported by necessary documents as per budget. Signs cheques as per the delegation thereon. Directs and coordinates procurement processes. Reports breaches of internal and regulatory control mechanisms and proposes appropriate action. Adherence to set reporting standards and ensuring the information presented to stakeholders, board and shareholders is accurate and enables them to make decisions in the interest of the organization. Reports on identified company risks to management and board at risk management meetings  Directs, coordinates and supervises the follow-up and receipt of donations, donors’ fundand sponsors’ gifts and the proper use and accounting of the same Following both the local and the Regional Office’s financial and accounting policies and procedures, studies and proposes for the improvement and approval of the organization’s financial and accounting policies, systems and procedures. Liaise with managerial staff and colleagues and advise on expenditure  Ensures that the accounting functions are equipped with necessary manpower, equipment and supplies.  Supervises the Finance Team  Directs, coordinates and performs the timely closing of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
